Riding the F train from Queens we spotted these awesome Pucci Rainboots. We’d certainly give up a week’s salary for them.
Red Marimekko Umbrella + Burberry Jacket = ok
Marimekko Umbrella + Burberry Jacket = Just OK
While we love Marimekko umbrellas and we think Burberry is great for classic or preppy look, together they’re not the best combo. This is a beautiful red floral umbrella and thus it should have been with something more complimentary than a subdued black jacket with plaid cuffs. Imagine how much more stylish this red and magenta umbrella would have been with the pink Sofia Rain Coat by Liquid or this cherry red modern trench by Filmore.

While it can be elegant to wear nothing but a red rain jacket and a red umbrella, it’s sometimes more fun to mix it up like this young New Yorker did in Soho.
We loved the synergy going on between the colorful umbrella and the bright coat. Together they make astylish bold statement.
If she had just been using a plain black umbrella this jacket would not have been as cool even with its adorable polk-a-dot lining.
If she had just been wearing a neutral jacket or even worse a jacket with colors that clashed or a sweat shirt, the umbrella would not have looked as beautiful as it does here.
